Accessibility statement
Cima Care Health Academy is committed to making cima.care usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments, and users working on slow or intermittent internet connections. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are currently partially conformant: the known gaps are listed below.
What we have done. Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator; descriptive link text; correct language marking on our English and French pages; and clearly marked page regions (header, navigation, main content, footer) so screen reader users can move around quickly.
Known limitations
The following were identified in a sample audit of the site and also apply to pages beyond those sampled. We are working to resolve them and will update this list as each is fixed.
- Some text and interface elements do not yet meet the 4.5:1 colour contrast ratio
- Some form fields are not correctly labelled for screen readers
- Some pages skip heading levels or use styled text in place of true headings
- Some images carry alternative text that is duplicated or does not describe what the image conveys
- The site does not yet provide a skip-to-content link, so keyboard users must move through the full navigation on every page
- Text cannot yet be reliably enlarged to 200 per cent without loss of content or function
- Captions and transcripts are not yet confirmed on all videos
- Some documents published before 2026 are not yet fully tagged for screen readers
