Funding and sponsorship
Cima Care Health Academy is owned and operated by CIMA CARE GmbH, a company registered in Linz, Austria. The development, publication and review of the vaccine-safety and immunization content on cima.care are financed from the following sources:
- Equity of capital and shareholder loans from the parent company — approximately 90%. This is currently the principal source of funding and covers the establishment of the company and the build-up of the Academy, including content development, editorial review and platform operation.
- Fees paid by individual learners and by institutions for access to Academy courses and subscriptions (including institutional collaboration and licensing agreements with universities, professional bodies and public-health institutions where these involve fee-based course access) — approximately 10%. Course sales begin in autumn 2026.
Over the period 2026–2030 we expect income from learner and institutional fees to become our main source of operating revenue. We intend, over time, to offer donation-funded reductions in course fees for underprivileged youth; this program is in development and is not yet active.
We currently receive no external grant funding.
Role of funders
No funder, sponsor, client or institutional collaborator has any role in the selection, drafting, review or approval of the scientific content published on this website. This applies equally to the parent company, which provides financing but exercises no editorial function. Editorial decisions rest solely with our Editorial Board, in accordance with our Editorial Policy.
Pharmaceutical industry
Cima Care Health Academy receives no funding, sponsorship, payment in kind or any other financial support from vaccine manufacturers or from any pharmaceutical company.
Advertising
CIMA CARE GmbH operates a single website, www.cima.care. The site sells no advertising space and displays no third-party advertising.
Commercial content
Pages that describe or sell our paid courses, subscriptions and institutional services are clearly identified as commercial (cima.care/health-academy) and are kept separate from our free educational and scientific content (cima.care/media; cima.care/insights/stories; cima.care/insights/blog).
